Our call to serve the Kingdom came with the instruction that wherever we were called we called to serve together as one, because that’s how we best reflect His love, His light, and His glory. We are overjoyed to have you alongside us in this adventure as we labor in the gardens Christ leads us to. Read more about our journey together and the ministries we serve below.
The Family
Gregg and Gina, both native Texans, currently serve in full-time camp ministry at Bear Trap Ranch in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Growing up in central Texas near San Antonio, Gregg and Gina later spent 15 years in Tyler, TX, where they call home, raising their three sons:
- Brandon: Waco, TX - Worship Musician
-Jeremey: Evertte, WA - U.S. Navy
-Curtis: - high school student/summer crew
It was in Tyler where God called the Hills to the mission field which has led them around the world and landed them on top of a Colorado mountain! Our family has always loved adventure and preferred “experiences” over “gifts”, so this season at BTR is not just our families Mission but Jesus’s answer to our shared heart’s desire. Praise God!
The Current Mission
Our mission is currently in full time service for the Kingdom at Bear Trap Ranch. We act as the hands and feet of Christ in food service and hospitality , allowing our guests to engage with the Holy Spirit without concern for their personal needs.
Beyond our administrative roles we also get to invest in Kingdom building through the lives of our summer crew members and volunteers, who are often young in their faith and new to their calling. We are blessed to be able walk alongside so many future Kingdom Warriors as they begin the journey learning what it is to be Servant Kings and Queens.
The Dream
When we were first called mission work, we challenged with this question: “What do you really love about life… what makes your spirit come alive? Figure that out and do that!”
The answer to that question has been a journey that has led us to a dream: To operate a ministry focused exclusively on rest and respite care for Missionaries on home assignment, offering an all-inclusive facility for missionaries and their families to temporarily call home at no charge to them! Our dream includes facilities fit for planned vacations and furlough homebases, as well as transitional/emergency housing. We believe God is using us today to prepare us for that tomorrow. Bear Trap Ranch
Bear Trap Ranch is a Christian retreat center hosting youth groups, families, churches, schools and ministries from across the globe. Located at 9100ft elevation in a forested valley just eight miles southwest of Colorado Springs, Bear Trap’s picturesque setting has provided a gateway for thousands of guests and campers to experience God and His creation in new and wondrous ways since 1953.
